On 17 December 2024 the Lithuanian Ambassadors’ Club hosted a lecture – discussion with the Ambassador of Japan to Lithuania, H.E. Mr. OZAKI Tetsu, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event aimed to strengthen the club’s international ties and to promote dialogue on current democratic issues. The ambassador’s presentation on “Democracy and Political Ethics” sparked a lively and active discussion among the participants.
Ambassador H.E. Mr. OZAKI Tetsu provided a detailed overview of the concept of democracy in Asian countries, delving into its roots in classical philosophy. According to the ambassador, democracy in Asian countries is built on the foundation of people’s moral and ethical norms, with the state being viewed as the most advanced “organism” created through the joint efforts of people towards a common goal.
Algimantas Rimkūnas, President of the Lithuanian Ambassadors’ Club, expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador of Japan to Lithuania, H.E. Mr. OZAKI Tetsu, for his interesting and valuable lecture, and to all participants.
